Nathan Jones

Traveller, Storyteller, Photographer.

Everyday Asia Photo Tours was set up by Nathan Jones to give curious people a deeper and more meaningful travel experience through the medium of photography.

Nathan describes himself first and foremost as a traveller. He's been fortunate enough to travel around the world four times on extended trips between six months to two years. He enjoys travel, culture, the diverse people of the world and the awe of waking up in a new far flung corner of the world.

In between travelling, Nathan spent 15 years in marketing and advertising in London, primarily producing TV and digital media campaigns. This career sparked an interest in storytelling; the ability to convey a message, a thought or an emotion to communicate a piece of information or to inform someone's opinion. Nathan has won over 20 awards for his work.

Six years ago, he decided to pick-up a camera and try to combine his two passions: Travelling and Storytelling. He sees the camera as the tool or the canvas to develop his art. Since then he has been hooked on the art of travel photography and has been honing his skills in his favourite part of the world: Asia.

Nathan has been visiting Asia for the last twenty years and intimately knows the countries where he has set up tours, whether it's the complex network of backstreets in Varanasi, India, or the best spots or angles to photograph Angkor Wat. He knows lots of local people in each country as well as people in the NGO and international community, giving him inside knowledge on the most interesting (and less crowded) places to visit.

Nathan guarantees that an Everyday Asia Photo Tour will be more fun than fun. He's travelled with and without a camera and the opportunity to genuinely engage with a country and capture hard won photographic stories at the end of each day is a much more wonderful experience than any five star hotel or tourist day trip (or holiday).
