DAY ONE - Arrive at Delhi, capital of India, and get picked up at the airport and taken to your hotel. Dinner and informal orientation chats

Day TWO - Delhi - 9am workshop for beginner and intermediate level photographers (optional). In the afternoon we will go on a photowalk in Chandni Chowk, the old quarter of the city where life hasn’t changed for hundreds of years.

Day THREE - Delhi - After breakfast, we will explore some of the main attractions of the city and spend a couple of hours at Delhi train station to try to capture some memorable shots. Late afternoon, we will catch a train to Agra, gateway to Taj Mahal.

DAY FOUR - Agra - Today we will shoot at several locations outside the Taj Mahal, arguably the most iconic building in the world. We will shoot before and after breakfast and head back to our hotel for a relaxing afternoon ahead of our sunrise start the following day to shoot inside the grounds of this incredible building.

DAY FIVE - Agra - An early morning start to get inside the grounds of the Taj Mahal at sunrise and to

DAY SIX - Jaipur - While travelling between Agra and Jaipur (approximately 5 hours in minivan), we will stop off at the Chand Baori stepwell; consisting of 3,500 narrow steps over 13 stories, this is one of the deepest and largest stepwells in India. The geometric shape and size of the stepwell makes for an interesting photo. If we're lucky enough to encounter some Indian women in colourful saris walking inside the stepwell this could produce some stunning photography. We should arrive in Jaipur early evening.

DAY SEVEN - Jaipur - Jaipur, also known as the pink city, is probably the most famous city in Rajasthan and has appeared in many films and TV programmes. We will spend the day visiting and photographing two of the most famous attractions in the city: Amber Fort and the City Palace.

DAY EIGHT - Pushkar - The Pushkar Camel fair is one of the largest and most popular festivals in India. It’s one of the biggest spectacles that you can witness in the Eastern world. Thousands of camels, horses, and cattle descend on the small desert town of Pushkar to be traded by men (with their families in tow) from Rajasthan and beyond. We arrive in Pushkar a few days before the start of the fair when the camel trading is in full flow. The best time to take photos of the camel herders is in the morning and afternoon golden hours. Within the town of Pushkar itself there will be plenty of colourful characters to pictures of, such as young children dressed up as Shiva and other Indian deities.

DAY NINE - Pushkar - Day two at the Camel fair

DAY 10 - Pushkar - Day three at the Camel fair

DAY 11 - Varanasi - The magical madness of India at its most extreme - say no more!

DAY 12 - Varanasi
